year bring you all happiness and blessing! Once again in 1944 the entire
German people were exposed to the hardest burdens, and once again homeland
and front have stood the test. The year 1945 will probably be the decisive
year of this war. For us it stands under the motto: ‘Through mothers and
heroes —
victory will be ours!’ We greet, in unshakable loyalty and deepest
gratitude, the leader sent to us by the Lord God: ADOLF HITLER! H. Himmler”
Feldkommandostelle 21. December 1944 ------- The danish document: Berlin,
Vintersolhverv 1943.
On this winter solstice day, when the sun completes its annual cycle, we
remember with solemn reflection and deep gratitude all the comrades of the
German tribe who found a hero’s death in the defensive struggle against
Bolshevism. They sacrificed themselves for the German community, for the
“Realm”. Our thoughts dwell tenderly with all those who mourn a death. The
relatives of these heroes shall be assured that they are forever included in
the caring guardianship of the German SS family community. On this day, when
the sun begins its new course, we once again place the fire into the hands
of the youth, who stand on the battlefront as well as on the home front.
This youth will, with the spiritual legacy of the fallen in their hearts,
lead the “Realm” forward to victory! Berger XX -Obergruppenführer og
General in Waffen-XX
