The bunch of cavalry and mounted troops articles, to be listed soon, was a part of a huge french collection, founded in the Ardennes ALLREADY December/January 1944 ( Battle of the bulge ) The collector who was 10 years old back then, was sent by his father ( who was a shoemaker ) to pick up the cavalry stuff, because he needed the leather. Later the kid started collecting militaria, and was able to save theese objects from his fathers workshop. After the war, he began to collect, abd founded a museum. |
