Tunic: Roayl danish guards. As worn on April 9. 1940, the day of the german invasion. the shoulderboards indicate that the tunic was in use between 1912 and 1947. The royal danish guards fought the germans on the castle on 9. April 1940. On one of the the other pictures you can see two german soldiers, looking a bit surprised, when they have to ( I think ) arrest a
Danish officer.. I guess they thought, that the germans was the the master-race...... But apperantly not. I have also included a few fotos of a very famous Royal danish guards officer, C.F. Von Schalburg, at his wedding wearing the officers uniform. Von Schalburg voulentered to the Waffen-SS and became the commander of Freikorps Danmark. And as you can see
on some of the fotos, I served my duty in the regiment 1993
