Very hard to find item. Most erbswurst was produced for the military.
Erbswurst was not eaten much after the war - how ever, produced untll 2018.
In the german military, it was a part of the iron ration since since the
iron ration was intoduced in 1870. That was in the French/german war 1870/71

Of note: Maggi was 1938 and 1940 winner of the 1St.price: NS role-model
company. And since 1935 it was an only Arian company. The director of Maggi
Germany was holder of the Blutorden and had fought with AH allready 1923,
also he was officer in the SD.
2/3 of the production went directly or in-directly to the Wehrmacht. Since
the company was Swiss, nothing happend after the war. 1947 Maggi and Nestle
fusioned
